Dr Adam Black was brought up in the island community of Orkney, then studied Medicine at Glasgow University. He completed GP training in 2004 and moved to India with his family in 2005 to work as a volunteer Doctor in a community health project. When he returned to the UK in 2008, Adam took up GP partnership in Blackburn. In that capacity he is now the Lead GP at Bentham Road Health Centre with his happy team. Other interests include the mentoring of Doctors through Foundation and Registrar training and having served on the Local Medical Committee. On a personal note, Adam enjoys cycling, helping coach junior Rugby, and actively participating in Church life.
