Dr Horsfield was a Consultant Physician with interest in Thoracic Medicine in Blackburn between 1981 – 2010. His clinical expertise is in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and occupational lung disease. He ran local Tuberculosis Clinics which contributed towards the reduction of TB incidence – from 250 cases a year to less than 50. Dr Horsfield studied Occupational Medicine at the University of Manchester, 1990 – 1992. He was Associate of Faculty of Occupational Medicine, 1992 and Elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), 1993. He was previously Acting Interim Secondary Care Specialist with Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in May 2012 and was appointed Secondary Care Doctor to the CCG Governing Body in November 2012.
