Dr Shukla, who is a GP at Primrose Bank Medical Centre in Blackburn, completed her basic medical training in C.S.J.M University in India in 2003. She came to England and completed her Foundation year in 2005 in East Lancashire.
During her posting as a Foundation Year Two trainee at Pendleside Medical Practice, she fell in love with General Practice and decided to become a GP.
Dr Shukla did her vocational training program to become a GP in East Lancashire as well and had the opportunity to train further in two local practices, Peel House medical centre and Rhyddings practice in Oswaldtwistle.
After completion of training, she joined Primrose Bank Medical centre as a salaried GP.
