A qualified accountant with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, CIPFA, Roger has over 20 years of NHS finance experience. Having a degree in Accounting and Finance, he joined the North Western Health Authority Graduate Training Scheme with placements at Bury FHSA and Burnley Healthcare NHS Trust. Roger then went on to work at Warrington Hospital and latterly Bolton Hospital NHS Trust and was a key member of the senior team when the hospital was authorised as a Foundation Trust. Roger was appointed to the post of Associate Director of Finance at the Care Trust Plus in 2009 and was appointed Chief Finance Officer designate of the CCG in August 2012.
