Community equipment collection during the COVID-19 crisis

Community equipment collection during the COVID-19 crisis

Unwanted and unused community equipment such as beds, mattresses and hoists can be safely collected within the rules of social distancing, cleaned, recycled and given to those who really need it.

If you have been loaned equipment by NRS Healthcare which you no longer need, and live in Blackburn with Darwen, we can arrange a safe collection.

Please note –┬áif you are self isolating or following NHS guidelines to remain shielded at home for 12 weeks please contact us when shielding has finished, or following self isolation you have been given the all clear to stop self-isolating.

Currently we are only able to collect those pieces of equipment we need to recycle to keep stock available for everyone. This includes beds, mattresses and hoists.

If you or someone you know has any of this equipment, please call 0300 100 0259 or email enquiries@bwd.nrs-uk.net

To arrange collection please call between Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

if you have other equipment please keep hold of it and contact us once the crisis has passed.
