Dr Ahmed undertook his medical training in Liverpool. After graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2006 he then completed the Academic Foundation Programme at Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2008.
Whilst undertaking his GP training, which he completed in 2012, he also completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH).
Born and bred in Blackburn, he then returned to his home town where he worked initially worked as a locum GP before becoming a GP partner at Brownhill Surgery in 2014.
Dr Ahmed’s other interests include Medical Education; he previously worked as lecturer in Population Health at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) Medical School. He continues to supervise medical students and Foundation doctors at the practice.
