CCG Chair Joe Slater will be listening to patient and public views about local health services at a free drop-in event in King George’s Hall, Blackburn, on Thursday 31st October from 12.30 to 3 pm.
The ‘Health Talk’ event is being hosted by Blackburn with Darwen’s Health and Wellbeing Board and will feature a ‘marketplace’ where members of the public will be able to speak to a variety of health professionals as well as getting free information and help on a range of health issues.
Other organisations represented at the event include Blackburn with Darwen Council, HealthWatch, East Lancashire Hospital Trust and Age UK.
There will be a wide range of stands in themed areas relating to the Health and Wellbeing Board’s five priorities:
- Children and young people
- Health and work
- Safe and healthy homes and neighbourhoods
- Promoting health and supporting when unwell; and
- OIder people.
There will be free sport taster sessions, interactive bikes, NHS health checks, demonstrations of the latest telecare equipment, face-painting and much more.
