Kathryn has worked for the NHS for 29 years and has a keen interest in patient safety and quality. She started her Nurse Training in 1989 at the School of Nursing in Coventry and Warwick, and then went on to work as a Staff Nurse in a number of different hospitals in Bristol, Bath and Oxford. She has a degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Health Psychology.
Kathryn has worked with teams of staff on quality initiatives involving The Patient Care Development Programme, Mortality Review following 30 days post Discharge and she has worked with both Aqua and Haelo. She has worked in the Acute Sector and the Community Sector as a Locality Lead, before moving into the Primary Care Trust as a Quality and Governance Lead, and then into the CCG as Head of Quality. In September 2018 she was seconded into the role of Interim Director of Quality and Chief Nurse.
