NHS Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a Governing Body meeting at Blackburn Central Library with the public welcome to attend. The meeting will take place on Wednesday 3rd September at 1pm.
The role of the Governing Body is to oversee the work of the CCG and make sure that decisions about changes to local health services and issues concerning current services are debated openly and fairly.
Joe Slater, Chair of the CCG’s Governing Body, said: “I encourage members of the public to come to our Governing Body meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity to hear important discussions about the health services we commission and plans for changes in order to maintain the highest standards of patient care. Involving the local people we are caring for is essential to making sure that local health services meet their needs.
“Dr Penny Morris, a GP from Darwen will be talking in detail about integrated care, so again, I encourage anyone who would like to know what benefits this will mean for the public to come along.”
Half an hour will be available before the start of the meeting for any questions or statements to be submitted by members of the public who either live or are registered with a GP within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen. To do this you need to notify Iain Fletcher by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 01254 282098 stating your intention to speak and provide details of your name and address, or that of your GP.
If you are thinking of attending we would very much appreciate prior notice to ensure there is enough room. You can do this by emailing email@example.com ringing us on the main contact number 01254 282000.
