The first week in March (1-8 March) is national Time for a Cuppa week. NHS East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are very passionate about raising awareness and helping and supporting families who are living with dementia.
Dr Rakesh Sharma clinical lead at the CCGs said: “This help and support is given through the brilliant Admiral Nurses who are registered nurses and are experienced in working with people with dementia. They help people with dementia stay in their homes for longer, and also work in other settings such as care home, hospitals and hospices.”
Time for a Cuppa will help raise money for Dementia UK which will go towards funding more of these Admiral Nurses and also towards the running of the dementia helpline which is open 7 days a week for help, advice or with any concerns about dementia.
Gather your friends, work colleagues and neighbours together for a slice of cake put the kettle on and have a natter for a good cause.
