Evidence has come to light which suggests a company called Vivid Lifestyle have been been calling vulnerable patients and using persuasive sales techniques to talk them into buying unnecessary and expensive supplements and medications, which has included obtaining bank details from the patients for payments. The company do in fact supply health supplements; however NHS England would always question any medication bought without a prescription from a GP/Doctor.
Athough this is currently happening in the Wigan area, it could also be happening in our area.
If any patients have provided such details, NHS England are advising that the patient contacts their bank(s) immediately and requests that their Fraud Department put a block on the account for any future payments. If any patients wish to take this matter further they are able to report the incident to their local Police.
